en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_World_(film)www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq6AOc0ATnUClassic film, and a bit of an under-rated gem I have to say It was based on a comic book but is in no way one of those "super-hero" type of things, which is good because they're quite "meh" in my opinion. This was just a good, different sort of film though that I found myself relating to a lot in some ways (particularly with the character of Enid, who is portrayed awesomely by Thora Birch). So yes... check it out if you can. It's available on DVD here (sadly the Austrailan release has no special features though. I've got the US version and my b/f has the UK one and both of those have different features on them but some is better than none).

Is it more of a girl movie? Looking at the poster it just seems to appeal more or less to a female audience.

I saw it, and I didn't like it. I didn't 'get' it I guess.
No, I wouldn't say it's a 'girl movie'. The main character is female but that doesn't make it a girl movie.

Watch the trailer, Franky. It's not at all girly.

Any ideas why I didn't 'get it'? Maybe I just couldn't relate to the characters very well?

I'm not sure really... I was able to relate to Enid for some reason, maybe because she felt so directionless in life and that's how I was feeling at the time (and still am >_> ). I liked the humour as well, the more sarcastic, deadpan sort of style. I guess it's just one of those things that you either love or you don't?
