Found this in the Courier-Mail newspaper today! ;D (in the Confidential section if anyone wants to know)
Frank Woodley swears he has no ambitions to become Australia's next big shot director - he just wants someone, anyone, to come see his new film.
The well known comedian who made up one half of the comedy duo Lano and Woodley, has been working on the other side of the camera of late to direct and co-write his first film, 'Chicken of God'.
The animated short film will make its Queensland debut at the Seventh Brisbane International Animation Festival on Tuesday night.
Woodley said the film, which he wrote with his mate Clem Stamation, tells the tale of struggling vineyard owners who discover one of their chooks has a comb containing the image of Jesus.
He said he and Stamation went all out to get realistic chicken noises for the film and spent many long hours in chook sheds recording animal noises.
"I just want to say that no animals were harmed during the making of this film but some chickens may have been slightly harassed," he said.
Oh man, I wanna see this. ;D

www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...61-2682,00.html Shorts cut to fame at Cannes ANDREW FENTON, FILM WRITER December 01, 2008 12:01am FUNNYMAN Frank Woodley's animated comedy about a divine chicken that poos lotto numbers has won the Gold Shorts Award at the 2008 SHORTS Film Festival in Adelaide.Chicken of God took the top honour of the five-day festival at the closing awards ceremony last night at the Queen's Theatre. The nine-minute film tells the story of a couple on a vineyard who discover the face of Jesus in their chicken's comb. Woodley says the initial idea for the film came from Lano and Woodley's stage manager, Clem Stamation, who went on to painstakingly animate the film over a period of two years. "We were driving to a gig and throwing ideas around and for some reason he had the idea of choosing Tatts lotto numbers by feeding a bird numbered beads and the numbers they pooed out were your numbers," he laughed. He said they were also inspired by news stories about people discovering religious "images" in burnt toast. "We thought `wouldn't it be funny if that was God's way of communicating with people' and just ran with the idea." Woodley's prize is a trip to next year's Cannes International Film Festival, including return air fares and accommodation. "I haven't really taken in what going to Cannes will mean," he said. "I'll have to have my teeth whitened!" Ben Wade, from the ACT, took out the Silver Shorts Award with his film, Mr Bear & Mr Rabbit and Eddie White, from SA's People's Republic of Animation, received the Bronze Shorts Award for Sweet & Sour. Other prize winners included Adelaide filmmaker Steve Callen's You Better Watch Out, Kick Start by Matt Palmer from NSW, My Shout by Julian Argus from WA and Pleasance by Amy Gebhardt from NSW. The SHORTS festival, which was cancelled at the last minute in 2007, came back bigger than ever this year with record attendances and screenings of 74 films from Australia and the UK. The judging criteria for the festival rewards strong narratives. "The SHORTS festival focus really is on how well you tell a story so it's really flattering they've chosen our film looking at it that way," Woodley said. 2008 SHORTS Film Festival winners Gold Shorts Award Chicken of God Frank Woodley (VIC) Silver Shorts Award Mr Bear & Mr Rabbit Ben Wade (ACT) Bronze Shorts Award Sweet & Sour Eddie White (SA)

I don't think Frank's very religious but I guess I really dont know! Does anything know about their personal beliefs? I think Frank's spiritual but not really religious. Col I think could possibly be an atheist ;D I think the ending was meant to be comical, not a real moral just to be stupid

eh, I think that they would be happy to answer. me myself is not very religious so I guess I dont take it seriously. Sorry if I offended anyone. I think that it would be a good question to ask every famous comedian because alot of the ones I know are atheists
