It has a picture of Col making a weird smiling face, surrounded by three women.
"Colin Lane at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival program launch with The 3 Dolls, Bronwyn Gell, Lissy Elliott and Charlotte Mudge.
Gushing over his affection for Adelaide audiences, comedian and musician Colin Lane was the perfect choice to host Wednesday's Adelaide Cabaret Festival program launch.
Colin, who was widely known as one half of comedy duo Lano and Woodley, returns to Adelaide in June as part of the ensemble for 'Two For The Road: The Music of Movie Maestro Henry Mancini'
"It's always good to do a job in Adelaide because you always have a sneaking suspicion that the audience is *not*going to lynch you," Colin says with a laugh. "There's not going to be any heckling at the Cabaret Festival, and the audience is quite well-heeled" And while it's been 15 months since he stopped performing with Frank Woodley, Colin reckons it still takes some getting used to. "Frank and I still liked each other, even though sometimes we could make each other sick just by talking, but it's a lot more fun being part of a duo."
But looking forward, Colin will be performing Mancini's songs of film greatness like Moon River, I Love You and Don't You Forget it, with Dale Pengelly of Singing in the Rain, Kaye Tuckerman from Shane Warne: The Musical, and Julia Zemiro, host of SBS's RocKwiz.
