Okay, so there was an email saying that they're not going to reprint Housemeeting. However, all the Maid Marian and Her Merry Men fans kept getting emails saying that they weren't going to bring it out on dvd, and we got emails like that for years. This year, it's out on dvd, and absolutely beautifully made, and they did it because of a combination of fan pressure and the fact that the actors/writers found out that we really really wanted it out. They hadn't realised that it was still so popular. So, never say never. And, we need to start (or continue) posting the link to the petition on other forums and sites. A coordinated action if you will. The petition link should be accompanied by a post saying what Housemeeting is, who lano and woodley are, and something about sign it even if you're not a huge fan, or haven't even heard of Lano and Woodley- the theory being, that if it's republished, they'll have a chance to read it to find out what they were missing. Try to make it appealing to sign. Maybe quote something from Housemeeting or Adventures of Lano and Woodley. Try and hype them up about it- remember not everyone's as obsessed as we are. This WILL take longer than a few weeks, but i think we're all fanatic enough to be able to cope with that. www.petitiononline.com/484787/petition.htmlWho's with me?

I'm totally with you. Whose Line is it Anyway was never meant to make it to DVD, but the same kind of campaign has been going for a while and now it's finally in the early stages of production. Like you said, never say never!

Yep, okay, so the publisher sent her that email saying that they aren't going to do it. But, publishers DO change their minds!! As do tv stations! With the thousands of people going to their shows, 135 signatures is shockingly low. We need to get the petition out there. We need to be determined, and organised. Maid Marian only came out on dvd after the fans got together and developed a 'proper' fanbase- one that communicated. Many older books are republished, books written by famous people that had a poor first run. Books that had been lost to the sands of time. So, pass on the link!! Don't give me any 'oh it won't work'. Just do it. If we all DO do it, then it's got more chance of working than if we all just sit back.

This is a long shot but what about promoting it at the shows, or having one at the shows that people can sign in person? Of course I have NO idea how people would go about doing it, but hey - it's just an idea...

signing in person ... well, that might work. Someone who's still going to the shows would need to do that then. And it might create some problems with how do we get it to the publisher/lano and woodley. Or, someone could hand out/put on seats/stick behind toilet doors/on walls pieces of paper with the link to the forum and the petition on it. For now, we need to get every single member here to a) sign it themselves, b) get their friends to sign it, c) post the link around the internet. I've just posted it on imdb, in the Island forum, and Adventures Of forum, plus 'cult tv', 'comedy' and 'general tv', plus the sandbox. If anyone can think of any other shows or movies or whatever on IMDB even vaguely connected to Lano and Woodley, or who are having petition issues of their own, go and post it on their imdb forum! If you're a member of any other forum, even one not at all connected to comedy, see if you can get people to sign it- making it look like a favour to you seems to work. I've been posting it on several forums in the past few hours. It'll obviously take longer than just this week though.

Here's an idea that might work or fail miserably. After the show in Adelaide they would sit behind a desk and sign stuff for fans. If we could actually draw up a petition and ask them to carry it with them? They could stick it on the desk and have people sign it as they wait to meet them.
Again, just an idea. If you can expand on it or make it better, please do, lol.

That'd only work if we could convince them that it was a good idea.
Also, it doesn't have to be a Comedy related forum that you post the link on. (and post it politely remember). It could be an Australian based forum (or a forum with lots of Australians in it) a book forum, a forum where you know lots of people like watching comedy, or a General Talk forum on a totally unrelated forum. All you really have to do is make it sound interesting and a personal issue, rather than just saying 'sign this petition'.

So all those petitions and letters to the stations and everything worked. Ignore this last bit if you must, but its a note to self to remind me where ive linked people. -fet guild -qt forum -manga guild -deviantart -nascar guild -anime forum -fake out -canadian guild -saiyan society -kevin smith society -pro wrestling guild -tna -section8...

yeah i know. Okay, i've been telling people that we don't intend to just leave the petition there and hope someone important finds it, that we're going to print them out and give them to lano and woodley, print them and send them to the publishers, or link them to them, etc. That this online petition is just a medium to allow us to get signatures from all over Australia.

yeah. okay, well then we don't get people who are the 'ignorant masses' to sign it. We get whoever we know who likes lano and woodley or books or australian comedy or comedy at all, to sign it!
