My school's really strict on uniform too. In Terms 2 and 3 which is deemed to be for winter uniform weather no matter what the temperature, we have to wear our school jackets (or blazers for seniors, such as myself) to and from school. And our skirts have to be under the knee, our shirts have to be tucked in, you can't have 'big' earrings or jewellery unless it's a religious cross that goes under your shirt without being seen, your not allowed to wear makeup, or have 'messy' or coloured hair, and other stuff like that. The other day I got told that I had to pull my socks down because they were 'too high'. WTF?

same. our socks must be folded down once, to the ankle "one small ring may be permitted, as is one pair of gold or silver studs hair is to be neat, tidy and respectable. no unruly colours, styles or accesories. boys hair must not reach further than the collar, and girls hair must be tied back if it reaches past the shoulders."
grr along with other things....

Yeah those rules are pretty much the same as mine. I think seniors are allowed to wear a small plain ring, but no one else. We don't have an actual rule about our socks, but people either fold them or have them pulled as far up as they'll go. I just pull mine up. It's easier. But if there's no rule then they can't tell me how to wear them. Haha.

I loved my uniform... I went to a very strict public school though, not a private school.

the funny thing is, my school doesn't have a uniform!! w00t
but hey, my school in yr seven neverlet girls wear pants, it sucked, we had to wear these stupid dresses or skirts with shirts and ties
also, you basically always had to wear a blazer, that smelt like wet dog (imagine assembly after it rained gahh...i almost passed out then)
but hey, i'll sign it anyway
