(This is a thread I'd thought I'd start after our convo on the radio interview thread- feel free to add your own messages of love- and you better, or Col will see i'm the only one who cares. And that's not true!)
Dear Col,
it has come to our attention (well, some of us), that you may or may not occasionally hop on over here and have a bit of a sniff around at what we're saying. If you're reading this, this thread is for you. If you're not reading this, I'm talking to myself and it's just weird.
We love you Col. We don't want you to worry that you'll be all alone and without any work. Yes Frank is popular, and we love him too, but you're still our little Collie Wollie, and much respected within the universe. You'll have lots of projects. Trust us.
Of course, you may already know this. We might just be a bunch of motherly worriers. Like Warriors, but more about cake and aprons and less about pointy things aimed at people's kingdoms. You might be thinking 'of course I'll get lots of jobs- I'm brilliant! I won't have a moments peace!' I think you should think like that. If you're not already. Okay now I'm just rambling.
We love you! Penny (and everyone else I'm sure)

I'm always trying to encourage some more Col-love in this place, so i'm glad you started this thread. Col, you rock like a rocking thing rocks. As i've mentioned elsewhere, I worry that you worry! I honestly don't think there's a need to fret over the future. Whatever you do from this point on, no matter what the scale, it will be brilliant. You have the Midas touch, my dear - you're a versatile and likeable actor. In my humble opinion, you are the only person who could've made your character in The Extra so enduring! Let's not forget your voice, either...you're a wonderful singer. HEY EVERYONE! STACKS ON COLLIE!

I love ya Col! Out of all the people in Lano and Woodley...you're one of them...nah only joking! You're my favourite! What an accomplishment! Even if you never achieve anything ever again (which I'm 100% positive you will) you can rest in peace that I love you! Hmmm...I'm probably sounding a bit weird now. So in conclusion I say, Colin Lane = one awesome bloke!

Now I'm starting to think we should have one for Frankie! Be nice for him to read something that doesn't culminate in fangirl squeefests about having his babies.
Actually, we should probably just say here that we're happy to have your babies too, Col. Not that I should speak for everyone's uterus but....right, now I've gone stupid. Sorry.

We're getting silly. We do this alot, don't we? Silly seems to be our forte. That's fortay - damn no French accent symbols. Fort Silly! ^_^
We do want to have both their babies, because we love them. Although, I love them more like my sons. I'm excessively proud of them and want to cook them dinner and make sure they get enough rest. I should so be one of those women that runs boys dormitories in England.

you're not meant to say that on a 'We love Col' thread... I love them both. Col = wonderful singer, actor, comedian Frank = wonderful artist, prop-making person (island commentary), comedian YAY for Lano and Woodley

LOL I love this thread!!
It's true, Col, you are one of our most favourite comedian/celebrity/hot guys ever! Even though your Lano-&-Woodley character was a selfish, bossy, domineering, blow-hard show-off, we know that underneath all that, you're a mushy kinda guy. Mushy like a good thing. Mushy and sweet - like a roasted marshmallow. And that's what the ladies lurve.
I got my T-shirt signed by you in Adelaide (my friend and I made our T-shirts, and then he went to see you again in Whyalla, remember us?!?!), and I have to say that you were an absolute star. The breaking up of Lano & Woodley is the end of an era of Australian comedy, but there is no doubt in my mind that you, Mr Lane (or Mr Lano - or Your Majesty, whatever you prefer), will succeed in whatever you do, whether it's comedy, music, theatre, acting, teaching or being a dad. You ROCK.
And Col? Please, if you ARE reading this, make yourself known!!! We won't bombard with you with PMs or anything - even if you just sign in as a guest to say "Hi I'm Col, wow thanks guys, as a token of my esteem, here's a 50% cut of the royalties of everything I ever earnt during the last twenty years", y'know, that would be cool.
^_^
(Also, you couldn't put me in touch with Hamish Blake and/or Ross Noble, could you? Heh......)

*claps hands at people to get attention* Come on you lot! This is supposed to be a thread about how much we love Col- it's not a contest of which one of them is better! They're both tops. But this is Col's special time. Although, he may well have cottoned on to our message by now. And just for the record, I put my hand up for Frank at the poll bit in Goodbye, but when Col went all manky i shouted 'I love you lots too Col!!!' and he made a face! I meant it Col. Here, have a vintage hard-to-find tin Get Smart lunchbox and matching thermos.

We are. Nuttier than a Mannix factory. Is that all you have to say about Col? That he has sexy eyes and he exists as a funny person when Frank's around? Tsk Tsk. I'll say it again- TSK. I love Col's eyes too. I love his stupid grin, and the facial expressions he pulls - especially when he's tolerating Sussanne's apology. And when he's staring at Frank's egg- ... ... canihavethat...? ^_^ Right homework: everyone has to watch an episode of LandW and concentrate on Col. Don't pick Easter Mess, your hormones will distract you at the end.

I watched a few episodes last night and concentrated on Col (that wasn't hard...). I watched The Girlfriend, first with no commentary and then with commentary (the commentary by Frank and Col of course, it wasn't me sitting there alone commenting on the episode out loud...that would be weird), just because I'm such a nerd. And then I watched The Wall.
You can see in Col's character that he is actually a nice guy and he really does love Frank (in a friend kinda way), especially in The Girlfriend when he has to leave Frank and pretend he can't be with him because he has to see 'Jenny'. He gets all sad when Frank isn't looking. Awww. But yeah, that's just his character in the show.
But then in the commentary he's so nice! He just seems like the sweetest guy. Really humble and down to earth. Not that Frank isn't, but I'm just focusing on Col right now. And at the part where they talk about the different ways they sit (where Frank sits like a girl with his legs together and Col is sitting with his wide apart, 'genitals to the world') and they start talking about genitals, Col doesn't really want to talk about it. Like he wants to keep it clean for the kids. I thought that was nice, like he's a gentleman. He was just really relaxed, but at the same time still really funny. "I would have prefered you did that font in helvedica." Haha.
Anyway. There was really not much point to that. Just wanted to share!
'tolerating'. Haha. That made me laugh. Don't know why.
