I was planning to go but I think I left it too late. I would have probably seen Carl Barron, Tom Gleeson, Dave O'Neil, Alan Brough and Denise Scott just to name a few

Family has organised other things for around that time, making it very hard to drive to Melbourne and stay for a week or so. So annoying...but there is always next year!

My mother and I are probably coming to MICF next year or the year after that. It depends if we have enough money to fly there, stay in a hotel etc. Ofc there is a possibility that i'm going alone, that would be nicer actually : D but yeah, let's see.

I'm not going this year because my university holidays don't coincide with any of my friends' and I was too chicken to go to Melbourne on my own. I went last year though, and it was amazing. I saw Frank Woodley, Josh Thomas, Tripod, Adam Hills and Jason Byrne. I went on Saturday night to the Festival Club and saw Rich Fulcher, Michael Chamberlain and Tom Ballard. Josh Thomas was standing behind my friend and I when we were in the line, but she didn't notice because she was too busy checking facebook on her phone. Frank pointed at me during his show because he thought I was the audience member who called out an answer to a question. He was like, "Own up!" and I was so scared, even though he's lovely. I also totally freaked out when I met Tripod. You guys all have to go next year! I'll go if you do! We could even all organise to go to the same show... A reunion one, or maybe if Frank has another solo show! (I'm assuming Colin's done with comedy festivals, but I would love to be proven wrong.)

Whenever L&W decides to have a reunion show, we should definitely all go together!! Hm it's already been 5 years...maybe it's coming up soon?!

Well, it all comes down to when they're both willing to do it. I reckon it will be when they've both established themselves as individuals which I don't think has happened yet. As much as I want them to reunite, I want them to be happy as well. Frank has his tv show this year, so he's set. Colin will only be on The Circle until Georgie returns from maternity leave. Then what? Sorry, this is getting a bit off-topic, but I am worried about Colin Lane.
But hey, because of Frank's new show, there is a real possibility he'll be more willing to collaborate. Anyway, we should totally go see one/both of them. We can be like, "Oh hi! We're the internet!"

We can be like, "Oh hi! We're the internet!" haha nice one! We'll be like the only active fans from their fan site (hopefully with more in the future). Yea i understand they're still trying to do their solo stuff (especially frank), but col is apparently about to host ready steady cook which means they're both busy with their own work. ah well whenever it may be, we'll be lying in wait...ready for them to come out onto the stage once more.

Yeah, once they announce some reunion (inevitably, in my opinion) I bet this site will get flooded.

I've never known Shaun Micallef to do stand-up. What sort of style is it?

I've never known Shaun Micallef to do stand-up. What sort of style is it? Well for this show I think he's gonna sing and perform instead of doing stand-up, but yea his style is more with performing sketches. Don't think I've seen him do stand-up before...

I went both nights. He was hosting rather than directing (John and Rusty from the Scardies were directing on each night, respectively) so he didn't do much in the second part where the cast perform the actual musical. He sang the opening and closing song with everyone both nights (except the second night he was doing some dance with a sword during the closing song which was hilarious) and in the second night he told one of the performers she had to sing a song in a different language in which she told him he had to translate it. That probably the most he did within the actual musical from memory. Hmm, what else? Frank was mentioned a couple of times. When introducing the cast, Colette Mann said that she was a big fan of Colin's and had been a fan of his since Lano and Woodley, then she asked him 'Which one were you?'. He stuttered a little bit during the first night and couldn't get out what he was trying to say, then eventually gave up and yelled 'I'm Frank Woodley, goodnight!' then the second night he said 'If you enjoy tonight I'm Colin Lane, if not, I'm Frank Woodley'. I can't think of anything else that happened at the moment, it was a fair while ago. But I do remember he was really funny! I would see it again and again and again if I could.

Wow that sounded wonderful! Oooh I hope he does another guest hosting thing next year. I literally squealed in delight when I read the bit mentioning Frank XD
