I have 3 copies of it. One which Kittypoop got for me when she went to Melbourne for the DVD launch, a 2nd one cause the first one was totally cracked from watching it all the time, and my 3rd copy now cause I lost disc 2......

i do belive i am addicted to it ;D you see *puts on teachers voice* i only just got in to the lano and woodley fan craze (on saturday 27th to be exact) which means i missed the goodbye tour!!!!! :'( so thats why i watch the DVD over and over and over again

haha yeah when the pple i live with come home, or the mum comes down after putting the girls to bed she asks what i got on and i dont say anything, she glances adn says i didnt need to ask lol. But i havent watched an ep for a few days i think. Im giving series 1 a break cause i watched that tooo many times lol

Um nooo not really lol. Last time i watched that bit i was lying down eating cheese ball chip things..u know really tiny things...ended up chocking and coughing a lot lol. Hmm wonder if we can get them to do that at their last night????

Well, by 'strategically', I mean coordinating at least ten people in the audience to leap onto the stage in unison, slap them together and wrap them with the tape. Two in the front row, four elsewhere on the floor, and four to swing down from the stalls with bungee cords. Preferably doing so with a primal scream.

So, Nyree, take a note. Shopping list: Gaffer tape, bungee cords, and magical disappearing puff-o'-smoke when the security guards launch upon us.

(A better idea - when they come to get you, just start walking funny whilst flailing your arms about.)

haha... wow this is going off topic, but i'll tell it anyway. When sillypants, (another member here), and my brother and I were going on the first night, we were in the car plotting about how we can capture them, and take them home and force them to live in her shed or something (we'd make it nice first). And then during the show we thought of the two best times to capture them. The second time we went, a week later, we were nudging each other going 'jump up on stage... NOW!'
it was great. there's a few 'best' times to do things. :P We're crazy though for having weird kidnap conversations...

I got the DVD yesterday! Yay for me! I looked everywhere at the Penrtih Plaza a few weeks ago in EVERY shop that sells DVDs and couldn't find it, so I ordered it. Then I went shopping yesterday and found it right up the back of JB Hi-Fi, so I bought it (after hyperventilating ;) ). I figured that I may aswell because the one I ordered would probably take ages to come in because the last one I ordered there did. Then, when I got home there was a message on the phone saying that they'd gotten it in. What are the chances....so my mum said I should give it to my brother for christmas or something. Hmmmmm. Maybe. Or maybe I'll just keep it for myself. :P

ooooh, i have had it for ages...first saw the series on the comedy channel (god bless austar tv)

can't live without, it's always great when you have a party or something, and people aren't doing much, you put it on, and basically, everyone wets their pants from laughing so hard (not literally of course)

it's great to show people who've never seen it before, and it's always great to see the looks on their faces when they see it for the first time

I actually bring mine to friend's places if I'm staying more than two days, or if they've *gasp!* never seen it. I don't like to think I can't watch it if i want to.

I'm in for the gaffer tape plot. I also volunteer to tickle them in order that they struggle less.

Okay here is my story...
I've watched it countless times... Me and my friend Smythie are fanatics and we swap our dvds (she has the adventures and I have The Island) at any random time when we want to watch the other... But I was looking for fish food (don't ask why) in the drawer where my brother usually keeps it and I found the dvd there still in its plastic wrap with a card marked with my name on it...
It's my birthday soon too... Hmmm damn I don't like accidentaly spoiling birthday presents... He doesn't know tho so don't tell him. Anyway I am quite excited about what I am getting though!!

Awesome yeah I love my brother... I really want the sing songs cd I saw it in my local record shop today actually... It was being renovated and now it's awesome!! It's so small but it has so much cool stuff now... There was a whole row of some of the best comedy cds eva!! The last time I went into a cd store it was jbhifi and in the comedy section all there was, was Billy Conolly... I wouldn't mind some variety!! But yeah there was Kath and Kim and Tripod and Scardies and Jimoin and Umbilical bros and lano and woodley (sorry they must be dignified with capitals Lano and Woodley!!) and the Goodies!! In which case I only was curious about them because of Frank signing... the slightly above averageys!! But yeah they have heaps of good comedy stuff now which I now enjoy going in there more cos they never had comedy in there!!

My local record shop just recently got renovated aswell. I haven't been there yet since it reopened on thursday. I'm a little scared to. Before they renovated it, they'd been getting heaps of emo clothes and badges and accessories in. Hopefully the whole shop hasn't gone that now. But anyway, they have a little section in the corner for comedy. It's tiny, but they manage to fit a fair amount of good stuff in there.

Hmmm, yeah, there's a plaza about an hour away from our house, we don't get to go there often but it has an abc shop and that always has all the Lano and Woodley stuff. But it is cheaper to get from the records shop I noticed. Hehe it's my birthday tomorrow and all week I have been hinting to my mum. You know like coughing out the words "Lano and Woodley Sing Songs" but I doubt I'll be getting it cos I already know my brother got me the series lol

i have the dvd, ive had it for years. i didnt know how many ppl loved them and there were some situations that had a 'lano and woodley' thing on them, like sum1 wood say something nd id b lyk "aww ZIF!!' and no one knew wat i was on about. so its kool that i found some ppl that i can talk about them with! to u guys i have 2 say one thing!! Haha that's actually true.. I watch Lano and Woodley all the time now and my mum and bro don't mind it but my dad hates it, in return I hate him back. But yeah now most of the time I just watch it on my laptop while posting to you guys like I am right now!! At the moment I'm watching Starquest with audio commentary. Lol and I just make it small and "always on top" so it stays in the corner whatever I am doing. Then mum will come in and watch over my shoulder soon.

haha the homestay family i lived with a while ago, i had the series on one day as they came home from school, and iw as aobut to turn it off but they saw it laughed a lot, and insisted i leave it on lol. So we watched all eps on the first series but the two men. I fast forward a few bits and the middle one wanted to know what frank meant by not having a root lol. I said he hasnt had a girlfriend lol.

They loved doing,, especially at the dinner table, im an alien lol and doing frank's hand sign thing. And I showed the oldest one who was only 10 the island..not a good idea lol fastfrowarded the swearing but eyah we had chicken a few times, and she said can you pass me a chicken wing and i said shouldnt the wings be on the chicken lol nad we both cracked up laughing lol. And when we got the salt, id go hehe we should have tha music thing lol. And um yeah when id throw the ball aroudn with them, the soft one, id often go hey frnak think quick lol, and the middle one hehe would let it hit her on the head and we'd just laugh for soooo long lol.

I had a dream a couple of nights ago and I was in the supermarket with mo and he was talking to my mother and everytime he said salt I'd make the noise but I wasn't really listening so then I asked them "How many times have you said salt DUN DUUUN while I wasn't listening to you saying salt DUN DUUUN"

Im at work and I just pooked round the side of my laptop -- and theres a dvd rom there

I bought it last month, I swear they haven't even changed since it was filmed! Just out of interest, how old are the guys? Because I saw Frank for the first time on TGYH, and I honestly thought he was about 30. But then I heard the guy's have been together for 20 years....

Blimey, Frank definitely doesn't look 40.

A random thing I noticed today whilst admiring the front cover of the DVD, you can see under Frank's hat that his head is shaved. You've probably all noticed this by now, but I was kind of surprised as he seems quite proud of his wild (and very lovely) hair. Does anyone have any pics of him with his shaved head?

hMM anyone know who produced that A year on the wing thing? Cause my great aunt's farm was used for a ABC show about kangeroos, and i met the producer of that doco at her funeral and we were talking about it, and i think he may have mentioned a doco about birds, like a year on the wing....But im sure im wrong. But that would be so cool if it was him.

The producer of A Year on the Wing was Nell White. Full credits listed here, and additional info found here and here!

i am possibly the most unfortunate person as I do not own the series, but I have seen it. It was at this shop for $20, the next day i went to buy it and it was 40, so i thought id wait a couple weeks to get it, ARGH cant wait!!!

I originally saw it because my friend had it and she showedf it to me and after I laughed myself silly, I went looking for it and found it at Sanity for $20 and bought it on the spot. I've only had it for about half a week but I love it...

i have one, but i'll soon have another one

i had to order mine from ezy dvd because the abc shop didnt have it, i waited two months and it cost me $35, when i went back two weeks later, they were selling them for $20! but now they sell it everywhere because of the goodbye tour...

dont even get me started on what i had to get through to get the island

what did you have to do Erin? I want to know!

I got my first copy of the series through Yvette who went to the dvd launch in Melbourne and it was the last one they signed that night lol. I had to get a 2nd copy coz the first is cracked from watching it so much, then mum took the 2nd disc so i got a 3rd copy.
With the 'updated' version of the island, i went straight into Sanity on the first day it was meant to be released and got it hehe. The original copy I got from.....oh yeah the Sydney run of the island. Quite ironic really.
